I was able to grab a few days of “tourist time” while on a business trip to Singapore in April, to reward myself for surviving the seemingly endless 17 hour non-stop round-trip SFO legs. In addition to visiting the Mandai Bird Paradise, I spent almost 5 hours just in the National Orchid Garden section of the Singapore Botanic Gardens – OMG what magnificent plants – truly a JOYfull experience 😊
Here’s a few of my travelog images to give you a sense of the town… and if you’re there, you MUST have a Singapore Sling at the famous Raffles Hotel – which has a absolutely incredible Indian restaurant.
The beautiful photograph of the boat on the water is taken from the exhibit at the National Museum of Singapore, by the Japanese artist Seiji Togo (1897-1978)
It stopped me in my tracks for the simplicity of the image and made me feel like I was on the shore looking at the amazingly serene composition. Oh what JOY 😊!
